Patients need you! For thousands with blood cancers like leukemia or other diseases like sickle cell anemia, a marrow transplant is their only hope for life. If you have diverse ancestry, patients especially need you because they are most likely to match someone who shares their heritage.

DaNelle (Kapla) Hocking is a loving wife, mother of two, sister, daughter, aunt, teacher, and friend to many. DaNelle was originally diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma in 2014. She had many months of chemotherapy and received the news she was in remission.

Last month, after a routine check-up, she learned her cancer had returned and also took on a form of Leukemia. She is currently at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee receiving chemotherapy, in hopes to get back into remission. Once DaNelle is in remission, she will be able to receive a bone marrow transplant.

DaNelle and her family would love to get her back home and doing the things they enjoy. One of their favorites is heading up north to their cottage where they boat, fish, swim, and have campfires.

We encourage you to find out more about becoming a marrow donor and helping patients like DaNelle find their CURE!
