Green Bay Oncology celebrates 50 years with a refreshed logo

Green Bay Oncology is celebrating 50 years of caring for patients in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. What began in August 1976 with Dr. Paul Koch seeing patients in a hospital hallway has grown into Wisconsin’s largest physician-owned oncology and hematology practice. Today, we serve patients at 12 locations with a team of 16 physicians, 21 advanced practice providers and more than 50 employees. Explore our timeline to see how Green Bay Oncology has grown over the past 50 years.

In celebration of our golden anniversary, we’ve refreshed our logo to better reflect our expertise and leadership in blood and cancer care. Our updated branding honors the history of Green Bay Oncology and the trust we’ve built across the region. At the same time, it positions us for the future as we continue expanding access to expert blood and cancer care across Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

Logo updates

Green Bay Oncology’s logo has always included a sun, hands clasped together and a book representing clinical research. In 2011, the original triangle evolved into a shield. Our refreshed logo carries that shield forward, along with the clasped hands and sun-filled rays that have been part of our identity for decades.

The Green Bay Oncology shield

Our shield builds on the strong history of our organization while reimagining key elements of our identity. Hands clasped together represent the partnerships we build with patients and their loved ones, our hospital partners and one another as a unified care team. Below them, a winding path represents each patient’s unique journey and leads toward sun-filled rays representing hope and positive outcomes. Together, these elements are contained within a shield representing strength and purpose.

The descriptor

The “Leaders in Blood & Cancer Care” descriptor communicates that our expertise extends beyond cancer care to include the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders.

Green Bay Oncology’s commitment to care

Our look has evolved over the past 50 years, but our commitment to bringing care close to home has not.

Today, Green Bay Oncology physicians and advanced practice providers care for patients through partnerships with health systems across Wisconsin and Upper Michigan:

As we celebrate 50 years, we’re proud of how far Green Bay Oncology has come, and we’re grateful to the patients, families, employees, providers and hospital partners who have been part of our journey.

Our logo may look a little different, but the purpose behind it remains the same: bringing expert blood and cancer care close to home, in partnership with the communities we serve. Here’s to the next 50 years!
