Green Bay Oncology Providers Bring Clinical Research Excellence Close to Home

Photos of the providers who have won NCI clinical research awards.

Today is World Cancer Research Day – a global reminder that cancer research saves lives. Through clinical research, cancer care advances, survival rates improve and patients everywhere gain hope for life beyond cancer.

This year, we have an extra reason to celebrate. Nine Green Bay Oncology physicians and seven Green Bay Oncology advanced practice providers (APPs) have just been recognized by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for enrolling patients in clinical trials here in Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

That means patients in our communities aren’t just receiving excellent care close to home – they’re also helping shape the future of cancer treatment worldwide!

Why Clinical Trials Matter

Every breakthrough treatment we rely on today started in a clinical trial. By participating in research, patients help:

  • Test new therapies and bring them to market faster
  • Discover better ways to prevent and detect cancer
  • Improve quality of life during and after treatment
  • Advance care for generations to come

Because of clinical trials, people with cancer are living longer, fuller lives. And the progress continues, thanks to the courage of patients and the dedication of providers who introduce them to these opportunities.

Celebrating Our Award-Winning Providers

The NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) recognizes providers based on the number of patients they enroll in clinical trials each year. We’re proud to celebrate these outstanding members of our team:
